I love spring; it reminds me of the moment in the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy’s world goes from black and white to vibrant color. Everything is clearer and we see everything out of a new lens. The seeds that were planted from the beginning of the year are finally starting to sprout and we’re feeling the sunshine expedite inspiration and creativity. Above all though, what I love the most about this time of year is the reset that comes with the shift. The urge to clean, detoxify, and breathe in some fresh air after a long winter season.
Today’s bonus episode and edition of The AHA! Moment is dedicated to my love for spring. I want to break down what is on my radar this year in particular from my perspective as a businesswoman and creator.

Mindset shift
After evaluating how Q1 went, I was able to get a better sense of what I liked about the first quarter of the year versus what didn’t serve me so much. As it does, this always starts with your mindset. The last few months have been very occupied with work with our recent office opening and the market picking up. With that, I noticed that the more I prioritized an occasional night out on a monthly basis, the more fulfilled I felt. My life felt more balanced because it was just enough for me to look forward to something without burning myself out.
I’m really starting to take the ‘all or nothing’ mindset out of my orbit, and I’m excited to maintain that going into the spring season as life probably gets even busier with social events. I don’t have to do it all, and I enjoy everything I do even more so when I selectively and intentionally choose to show up and be there.
Playlists & Podcasts
Small but mighty, a fresh playlist can truly change your day-to-day life. I love a new season playlist recapping where I’m at at this point in my life, how I’m feeling, and just embracing that energy through musicality. It’s on constant rotation for me and gets me back to the present moment. It’s a reminder that I am here now and to just be truly at peace with that. Check out my Spring 2025 playlist HERE.
The same goes for podcasts. I’m always on the hunt for another show to listen to that I can actually learn from or be inspired by. I don’t mindlessly listen to podcasts and it takes a while for me to be a committed listener (and yes, I am admitting this even as a podcast host myself). Lately, here’s what I’ve recently discovered and have been tapping into:
The Marie Forleo Podcast: I don’t know how I never knew who Marie Forleo was before, but she is such a rockstar. She basically invented the life coaching industry before it was a thing. The podcast is all about becoming the person you most want to be, bringing on guests sharing strategies for more happiness, success, motivation, creativity, and fulfillment. The topics are really interesting and sparked my interest immediately.
Working Hard, Hardly Working: Grace Beverley is an entrepreneur and influencer and has some great guests on her unconventional business show. The show is really revolved around life lessons, entrepreneurial insights and struggles, health and wellbeing tips, social issues of the modern age, and more. For me, it’s a good anchor when I need to be reminded of how to balance everything in my life out.
Help Wanted: I’ll be frank, I’m obsessed with Jason Feifer and his work. His book, Build for Tomorrow, is my favorite book of all time. He has a weekly email newsletter (that you should subscribe to) and this podcast is a summary of his newsletter editions. He’s teamed up with money expert Nicole Lapin to chat all things business and how to make money doing what you love. The wide range of topics the episodes bring are great and never boring, and they’re often short and sweet. Check it out!
Feel-good hobbies
I’ve been trying to spend less time mindlessly scrolling and spend more time trying new creative hobbies to keep my brain juices flowing. The energetics of spring only motivate me more to do this. Here are the two I’m really excited to try out this season:
Scrapbooking: I used to put together scrapbooks and photo books when I was a kid all the time (maybe it’s a generational thing, but I love developing physical photos and putting them into one place for display). It’s a nice opportunity to just internally express some gratitude for the memories, people, and experiences that have shaped your life at one point or another. Plus, it’s fun to get crafty once in a while.
Daily sunset (or sunrise) walk: The sun is out for longer now (thank goodness!), so you’d be crazy to not get outside and enjoy it. The simple act of going on a walk can obviously bring so many health benefits to your life, but above all, why I love implementing this into a spring routine in particular is because it forces me to get grounded again and back into my body. I like to put my phone on do not disturb, listen to a good playlist, and just be with myself for a few minutes. Don’t underestimate the power of this one!
Style & lifestyle favorites
First of all, I love cleaning and organizing my closet, especially this time of year. This is a must-do activity as soon as the weather hits that transitional temperature of 50-60 degrees here in New England. I love going through what I have, what I want to donate, and what I need to add to elevate my constantly evolving style. So first things first, lets get that done!
Color, color, color: This is my vibe this season and probably will be going into the summer months too. I love color, and I really want to prioritize mixing and matching it even more than I already do this season. It’s a struggle of mine to take risks in the fashion department, but I want to change that. Lots of vibrant pants, striped shirts, and colored sneakers (because my goodness, the white sneakers have got to go).
Write down thoughts as they come: I always try to block time out in the day to journal to make sure I do it, and it has turned into a ritual over the years for me. But, sometimes I’ll find myself itching to write not necessarily during those blocks of time (of course), but rather during other sporadic times. I’m learning and shifting my focus to making note of my thoughts as they come, because that’s where and when the magic really happens.
Cheers,
Angelina
